Yup, considerably better, though am still expecting to spend the next week in the hospital. Just being able to eat on my own and get around is an incredible luxury.

Yeah, paying close attention. In this particular case, I have nothing but love for the doctors, who have brought me out of the woods relatively quickly.

In a week, I've gone from a little sad heap in the ICU bed to a human being again.

Oh, darling. ((hugs)) Believe me I know how abdomen / stomach surgeries make you feel afterward. Keep it slow and easy and be good to yourself. I'm glad you're okay, I was thinking about you this very morning!

Yeah, I still got three draining tubes snaking out of me and my "tough-love" surgeon battering me to run up and down the hallways to make the bad stuff drain out. Fortunately he has done a heckuva job patching me up, so I can actually attempt to do that.

A surreal week, really...
