Ask me about any character I've played, and I'll let you know what drew me to them in the first place, what I like most about them, least about them, my favorite RP memory (if I can remember it!) and if I'm likely to ever write them again.

Here's a list for reference )

ALSO, HAHAHA, LUCA BLIGHT. I approve of Suikoden RPing always and forever, so yes. \o/ That's a great username, too.
As for the other meme: TELL ME ABOUT NATHAN, DAMN YOU. :| He's not even on the list, sob.

He would be so much fun, but in a serious RP? I'm not sure what kind of CR he'd have. I guess I could always consider NS-Only when there are slots open? It's a shame because I like his character and story so much, but I'm uneasy about how he'd fit in a structured game. There's always FoC?
AND NATHAN. lol how did I forget Nathan?
what drew me to them in the first place: Nathan and I had a serious love/hate relationship in Season 1. His conflict and the constant question of whether he was a good guy or a bad guy drew me in. He had so many dimensions to his character that I was always interested in seeing where they would go with him even if I wasn't sure I liked him yet.
what I like most about them: I love his relationship with Peter, I think. My favorite moment he has is the end of Season 1 when he comes through in the end for his brother. I was in tears, moreso than I was even when he died.

Oh, yeah, I can totally see how you'd have reservations about playing him at an actual game. He'd be hilarious in the Cod, though.
I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU FORGOT HIM. HE'S TOO SPECIAL FOR THAT, TESS.
Yeah, I also really love how Nathan is a very layered character with a whole lot of depth to him that I think most fans don't really see. They just see "asshole" and write it off at that, when there's a lot more to it.
His relationship with Peter is the best. Honestly, I don't think either of them would be as good as characters without the other. ♥
LOL, the religious thing was at least over quickly and there was an explanation for it -- that is, Maury was influencing his thoughts so it wasn't really his own beliefs, phew! But I can understand why you'd be so unwilling to play him with all of that lame canon. I guess the only good option is to take him from season 2.
That thread was wonderful, by the way. I'm glad we got to play them together for a bit, I really am. ♥

Early Nathan is amazing in so many ways. The actor portrays him perfectly, the writing is good, his development is good... I hate that people just write him off without actually looking at his actions and his conflict. He's clearly not all bad, and they were clearly painting an inner struggle. And then he does the right thing, and it was just executed so well. I even loved drunk!deadbeat!Nathan! Easily my favorite character. Even after all they've done to him, the early days make me love him still.
Peter and Nathan make me so happpppppy.
I mean, at least it wasn't for real, but it still left such a bad taste in my mouth. I thought it was just so silly. And then him saying all those things when he was pissed at Peter. I suppose I could do it because he wound up alright in the end, but the idea of reviewing all the puke-worthy canon is kind of scary to me.
Me too! One of my fondest RP memories~

And yes, I'd love to see you try Zelda at the Fountain. :D

what I like most about them: I like that Celes has layers. As I said before, she seems just a tough female general, but she has insecurities and weaknesses just like everyone else. She's a strong and capable general, but she cares for people and can't always maintain outward appearances. She grows to care so much for Locke, and she doesn't want to be alone. She's a great mix of tough female with a very human core.
least about them: A feel a little like her character becomes a little too much about Locke? I understand a love story and all, but I'm really not a huge Locke/Celes fan, though ( ... )

what I like most about them: Honestly, her attitude. She took being kidnapped by a bunch of cultists and infected with Las Plagas pretty well. She didn't sit back and cry. She followed Leon, helped him out, and even indulged in some witty banter. She didn't start gunslinging or anything, but she was resourceful and helpful.
what I like least about them: Probably her voice. I can't think of much I dislike about Ashley, but her voice actress could be a bit grating at times.

That happened when I played the game, too. D: My friend is playing now with the same disc, it twice it froze during the Akzeriuth cutscene, forcing him to play that scene over and over. I wonder if Abyss is particularly prone to damage, haha.
I'm curious about Squall and Buffy~!
