I'm not a magician, I'm -

- well, actually, that sounds sort of cool. Okay, I'm a magician...!

But more importantly, don't you want to help out? It benefits everyone, and there's the added bonus that people will like you more. Don't you want to be popular?

...

What's the technical term?

........... No. I wouldn't say that's one of my top priorities at the moment. Jesus.

Technical term for what?

But if you're nice and popular, then people will help you. Or if you want to hear it put in a more cynical way - do favors for people and they'll feel like they owe you favors in return, which you can use to your benefit. Like getting help or information or just something nice.

For whatever you are. Failing that, what you do.

Needing favors to call in isn't the same thing as donating yourself to charity, thanks.

Oh. That.

[...] I'm a perfectly ordinary second year high school student, of course. I'm only seventeen so there's not a lot of choice.

[He's letting the 'charity' thing drop for now - "for now" being the key point.]

Is there a point to beating around the bush about your powers when a. you can't fucking use them and b. you're in some fucked-up city with little to no electricity, heating, water, food, or people who even know who the hell you are or care you exist?

Not that I give a crap, but your bullshit's getting on my nerves.

Well then... hmm.

Okay, how about, let's say...

I have magical powers because currently back home there's an apocalypse going on, yeah - straight out of the Christian religion, you know, and I've been raised from birth to fight in that apocalypse, to try and save humanity, although of course there's an opposing force. The - uh, Seven Angels, that's the bad guy team name.

And if I lose, then all of humanity will be destroyed. Oh, but I'll probably die heroically anyway. So it's sort of like a super hero TV show, in that case, isn't it? Very cool.

... Well, you sound pretty damn calm for somebody who's supposed to be someplace else averting the apocalypse.

I was joking. Wow, you believe things pretty easily, don't you?

............. Like I said, it doesn't really fucking matter to me whether you're joking or not.

Well, that's good.

But then why would you ask?

I didn't. I got tired of you babbling nonsense trying to hide it.

I thought you might have been trying to get to know me better so that our friendship would deepen.

You really like to assume, don't you.

OOC || Mello is somewhere between laughing and shooting Sora in the face for this entire thread. Possibly both at the same time.

It's not a weird thing to assume. It's only natural, in fact, that people would want to get to know me, and that we should be friends.

[[Sorata, meanwhile, is having fun testing the waters.]]
