I realized today that people know me for books.
I have people, everywhere I go regularly, who as soon as they see me, they start talking books. Not just MY book, but books in general. Whenever I meet up with my best buds for coffee or lunch, books are exchanged. Today it was Annie Proulx. Yep. At church, I got to talk about Annie Proulx.

To this day I still have problems. I re-read words, sentences, and even paragraphs over and over until they make sense. Words look different to me, especially when they're on a piece of paper instead of a screen. Part of me thinks I'd read a HELL of a lot more (and by that.... My dad's severely dyslexic, but still tests out on a genius level. He's never read a whole book -- it's too infuriating for him. Yet he's worked with major government agencies on Projects You've Heard Of. He relied on talk radio for years (I grew up with Rush) so my sister and I get him audiobooks now--it works for him, even though he was wary at first!
And, um, I associate you with politics and Green Day. *SHINES!*

Audiobooks sound awesome, I will have to check them out. My MOM gave me one because she thinks she's funny... "It Takes a Village" (or something like that) by Hillbillary Clinton. (See what I did thar?) Yeah Mom, you're a riot.
There are far worse things to be associated with, though, so Green Day and politics is alright with me. :)
