hi! :) i ran across one of your posts on steamfashion and i'd like to ask; what camera do you use? also, how do you get the glowy effect on your pictures (a la http://community.livejournal.com/steamfashion/534014.html) thanks!

Hello, I use a Canon Powershot A640. The photos of my room are unprocessed pictures, but on the picture of me, I did like this in photoshop:

fist I put a green filter (on low opacity) over the picture since the camera tend to give the skin a slightly red tint.

then I went to Image - adjustment - selective colours
there I changed "colour" to "neutrals" pushed the black levels to around -35

then I made a new layer and went to Image - adjustment - gradient map were I turned the picture black and white. The black and white layer was then given the "blending option" "soft light" (this can be found under layers, were it says "normal")

and then the picture is done :)
