Well, I said I'd take Burkina Faso and Cote d'Ivorie back on 12/22, but I also said that I wasn't going to have a chance to get the story done by the deadline. Because of that, our fearless ficathon leader might have decided to hand the countries out to another, more timely, writer. I kind of expected a reply to my comment on his post regarding the assignments to let me know if this was an oversight or if he'd meant to do that. As I said in that post, I am going to write the story anyway (because it's in the same universe as the main story I'm working on right now), so I'm not going to be offended or anything if it's not part of the ficathon. I guess what I'd say is that if you already have some work done and something written, keep going. But if you haven't already done much, and you've got other countries to work on, you don't need to worry about Burkina Faso and Cote d'Ivorie, 'cause I'll be writing about them (eventually).

I'm still one country away from any serious writing about either Burkina Faso or Cote D'Ivoire - I had 5 countries because I'm insane. :) So no worries, they're all yours!
