New Faroese Textbook

Hey, dunno if anyone on this comm is still alive but I've just begun writing a textbook that teaches Faroese, with mentions of stuff in relation to Icelandic, Swedish and English where appropriate. I should finish it relatively soon.

Yep I will!! School starts again next week so I'll be a bit slower than I'd like but I've got most of the noun groups down (just missing ones that get ending in -ir, as in hvalir), and I've started on adjectives, and covered when to use nominative and genitive.

But after I cover all the grammar I've gotta make a word frequency list so I can choose with vocabulary to teach + look for the best types of example sentences, which takes a lot longer than writing the lessons themselves ;_;

Oh and I've either gotta find or create a definite list of prefixes and suffixes... I had one some years ago so I hope I can find it again lol

It's not for Faroese, but for Icelandic there's the Íslensk tíðniorðabók - might be useful as a starting point!

Glad you approve! I'm actually switching between a lot of different language-related projects, I was working on this one to let off steam but now something caused me to switch back to another one... I'll try to focus >.>;
