just curious if you ever read any Neal Stephenson.

I'm about halfway through the final 1/3rd his Baroque Cycle. and it's mind-bogglingly good. Seems like the sort of thing you may like. Pick up the first book, Quicksilver and see if you like it. If you get through it but aren't too excited, give the second book The Confusion a shot because it's really amazing.

I just read about a new movie that's based on Philip K. Dick's drug experiences. Thought you might be interested. It's called "A Scanner Darkly".

though i'm uncomfortable with calling them "drug experiences" and with saying that any of his books are about those, i don't want to nitpick. i hadn't heard of this. so, thank you. i would like to see it, though keanu reaves?! guh. i don't know... at any rate, philipkdick.com says that it should be good. so that's nice.

ah, i was just going by what they said on the film review. i have never read him myself, so i must plead ignorance.
