You crazy boy anonymous March 24 2005, 19:52:21 UTC
I should have figured you'd find a biased source.

Love,
Joel :)

Is there any other kind? Biased has turned into a source that contains information that does not happen to follow your beliefs. Sarah is not a boy.

Schiavo deserves to die with dignity jeff_matzke March 24 2005, 23:26:58 UTC
I am glad the Supreme Court has decided to let this woman's body finally die (her mind has been dead for 15 years). Her husband has the right to decide if she lives or dies, not her parents. If I am ever in that situation I hope that my guardians will let me die instead of making me live a pathetic life as a vegatable.

fine. if you consider dying of dehydration "dying with dignity," then go tomorrow and fill out a living will and appoint a power of attorney and tell them that's what you want.
There are multiple signed affidavits from Terri's former caregivers that quote Michael Schiavo as saying, "I don't know what to do. I have no idea what she would have wanted." I've read them. There is a lengthy medical report from a doctor (who actually spent hours with Terri observing her and evaluating her) saying that she is responsive AND THAT SHE CAN SWALLOW! She has control of her own saliva, which shows that she can swallow at least 2 liters of water a day. He also states that Terri responded differently to different people. Her mind has not been dead for the past 15 years. Do your research, Jeff.

I don't need to, the courts have already decided. Much of the information you are citing is most likely from unreliable sources. Why wasn't it brought up in court if it were true? If it were up to me she would be euthanized. I would not want to be dehydrated, but if I were in her circumstances I would like to be shot full of cyanide. Too bad euthanazia is only legal in Oregon...

the reason it wasn't brought up in court is because it came to light after the courts made their first decision, and judge greer is not allowing another trial, seemingly regardless of whatever new evidence is found--that's what the big deal is. i don't like euthanasia much more, but at least the person being euthanized is asking for it.

Like above, I'd give it more credibility if it was from a third party source (not saying that everything in there is false, just that information put out by a website that is pushing for one side may not be impartial).

And I'm sure we disagree so that's all I'm going to say about it.

Happy Easter!
