Look at this simply GORGEOUS Journal! There is another beautiful pic of the journal here. The professors that I work for gave this to me, as well as a toy golden snitch. I've been so blessed this year with nice gifts. The journal is especially nice, because it is refillable. The leather is a case around a more plain book. That's cool ( Read more... )

Ooh, that's gorgeous! And I can think of a Christmas book I loved when I was a kid - The Dolls' Christmas, by Tasha Tudor. (Imagine my surprise when I realized she's a contemporary author and it wasn't really written in 1870 or something!)

Oh, and if you want a good story, the short story "Miracle" by Connie Willis in the book of the same name - it's awesome! (The whole book is good, but that one is my favorite story.)

There's one Christmas book I love a lot, I think it's called The Christmas Mystery and it's by Jostein Gaarder. I hugely recommend it, it's a lovely story. :)

That is a gorgeous journal! I always have a similar dilemma with pretty journals. I never want to write in them. How perfect that you can just replace the inside!

I saw a little golden snitch at a bookstore this week and tried desperately to think of someone to buy it for. What a neat gift!
