Meant to write this a couple hours ago - like, before midnight so I could get back on a decent sleep schedule. But instead I watched a gory vampire movie :P
Daybreakers - original ideas, strong allegory that doesn't beat you to death is actually pretty subtle, fair story, good actors, great creature effects, slick and simple cinematography; overall ( Read more... )

Huh, I know a lot of people really liked Daybreakers. I saw it with a group of friends. We weren't super-fond of it (or, at least, didn't feel like it was worth the $10 to get in) - but I admit there WAS a lot of good stuff there. Maybe it was just that combination of people at that time, I dunno. But, even us nay-sayers thought it would be worth renting :D

(Truth be told, I thought the Daylight Driving concept, for me, almost worth the admission on its own. I mean, the worldbuilding in general I thought was its best feature, but the daylight driving was just SO COOL!)
