This chapter fried so many of my brain cells I couldn't even get anything useful done after. OH MADARA. SHODAIME'S WIFE, YOU KNOW, NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED if Hashirama had just properly hooked up with Madara as he was supposed to. But you know, this whole thing leaves a bad taste in the mouth, so much nepotism. Looks like Madara was actually sort of...right...about the discrimination thing D: Is it bad that my first thought was "Yeah! This makes it so much easier to write Itachi/Shisui fic!"

re: table manners...it sounds like every time I go back to India D: Studying abroad can be harrowing, I wish people would tell us that before we leave >:(

Yeah, the nepotism... My personal theory as to why we don't have anyone named Senju in the modern day is because they all married into other lines, but focused all their efforts into the village's government. So, yah. Nepotism up the wazoo. Hope Naruto recognizes this and adds that to his list of Things to Change in the Ninja System.

No, it is not bad that your first concern was those two :P In fact, I hope the chapter where the Fox cuts loose is full of cameos. Especially Kakashi and Rin, and Itachi and Shisui. That would make my month!
(As a side note, I was very disappointed that Rin the medic was not involved in Kushina's pregnancy :( But oh well.)

Also, we have sandwich foreshadowing in episode 18, when we learn the Emperor was brought to Gaia in a beam of light while lying in bed thinking about sandwiches.
