So, I started reading Naruto again from the beginning, just looking to reacquaint myself with why I loved it so much - plus my eyes are 10 years older so I was interested to see how I would interpret things.  Kakashi - again - just does it for me.  He's aloof, silly a little bit, cool, vague and reliable.  I'm enjoying getting to know him again

Woww never thought I'd see you updating again! I randomly check LJ every once in a while, but I didn't see that you had picked it back up until now. Omg, talk about being ten years older... I think about that time period all the time and it's so hard to believe that it's been that long. It's awesome to know I'm not the only person who still thinks about those days and the characters and friends and stories that made them so much fun. It's so good to hear from you! I was just thinking about how awesome it was that you gifted me a paid account subscription and LJ pics back then... to a student with no job and Asian parents who made one feel guilty about every non-necessity, that was basically the coolest and sweetest thing ever

I know! It's nutty. As the manga ended, I felt really sad to see it go. I followed it right to then end. I spent ages rereading it and there was so much I didn't catch the first time around. I still read the odd thing but really, I just follow Dogs when it eventually shows up. Bleach was good too. I forget why I stopped reading it. Probably just lost interest
