What a great story! The images in the first part were truly chilling, especially the one with Sawyer and Clementine and Hurley’s touch of ash. I remember It opening with the paper sailboat down the drain so starting with Desmond’s boat was a nice touch. (I’m a big Desmond fan - all his parts were great!) The smoke monster is a lot like Pennywise, isn’t it? Also, the title made for a spooky prophecy. Good job on all the characters and plot. I really enjoyed your story.

Thank you! I'm so happy that you like it. I had so many ideas for this one and I cut out so much... it's a miracle that it still makes sense LOL I had an early version where I started where they left us after the S3 finale: Jack shouting "we have to go back" and then gathering the people again to go back and face their fears that they couldn't the first time. But it was menacing to get almost as long as the novel, so I had to drop it :D

As soon as I saw the title I knew I was gonna love this! Arzt is a legend and I adore his "The pigs are walking!" displeasure.

Yay for another Lost/King crossover! IT is one of my favourites and of course the monster is the perfect shapeshifting force to represent IT. Your characterisations are great, especially Des, Charlie and Hurley.

Oooh your ending was a special treat for me! Thanks so much for the junkie-saving, Chesmond-heaven, PB&J lovin of it all!

Happy Halloween, sista!

Glad you liked it, Cappy!
Arzt is kind of a neglected hero for me, it felt good to include him - even if not directly.

I still have the urge to compensate Charlie for his fate by giving him as many happy endings as possible in fic world :D

Great story and great use of the prompt, just as creepy as the original.

Ooh, creepy, all of them coming face to face with their worst fears like that. Excellent job determining what those fears would be too. I especially liked Charlie's fear that no one could see him - that seemed exactly right to me. Nice ending too, a bit of hope after all the horror.

Glad you were inspired to enter your first challenge!

It was fun! Thanks to Captain Falafel for poiting this out ;)

Our lostees are so full of fear and regrets that it wasn't that easy to find the right ones. And I was so sorry to neglect good characters like Sayid for instance... I would loved to torture him with a Nadia with burnt hands... >:)

oh wow, a happy ending! thank you, I needed it!

“How many? Who was saved?” he asked frightfully.
“I don’t know how many, but everybody as far as I know… and a few more”

I loved how you put this, making clear that it wasn't only Charlie's mind thinking that not everyone was on the plane, but it was real.
The images in the first part were really creepy, and a bit confusing for me - I have never read King's novel - but overall I loved this.
And of course, the fact that it was Sawyer the one pointing out the literary reference was perfect!

It was a qvasi happy ending (for my poor Des at least), but yeah, they left the island ;)

I thought that it might be confusing for someone that isn't familiar with IT, my bad for not summarizing. So here goes.

IT is a creature that torments kids by materialising their worst fears and mostly appearing under the form of Pennywise the clown. A group of kids, aka the Losers' Club confront him in a God-forsaken town, and apparently banish it, but IT comes to life every 30 years to feed on people's fears... so they have to come back as adults to face their worst fears once more.

oh, thank you for the summary!
I had guessed something along those lines, but now it's surely clearer.
