I try to limit how many times I write m**e, as I despise the word

Mustn't let it fall into vampire hands, no, no! That sounds fun. May I inquire as to the title?

Changeless, by Gail Carriger (sequel to Soulless).

Seeing as I'm in the office right now, it's a miracle it is that book and not Regular Polytopes, by H. S. M. Coxeter. I checked, and that would have required many Unicode characters. Thank Dewey for my habit of leaving books on top of the computer.

Thanks! I just encountered that series; fun stuff.

My possibilities included dog training, biochemistry, job-hunting guides, cookbooks (considered one, but the specified spot fell right on a long ingredients list), the IKEA catalogue, and a selection of mysteries and SF. I settled on Walter Jon Williams's "Fourth Wall," a follow-up to his near-future "This is Not a Game" and "Deep State."
