I think Angel sporadically pops back into BtVS but not as a long term fixture... as far as I can remember. I never really got the Buffy/Angel ship.. I think I just don't remember watching the show back then actually. God it was years ago. Am finally watching Angel now and falling for Angel/Cordelia (you might get why as you watch more).
I'm not sure re: fics. I have only sought out C/A ones so far. Have you tried doing a search on ff.net? Happy hunting :)
