You would think I'd use my three-day weekend to finish a hair or two, but no. I started on yet another one :) It's a hair from The Sims Medieval, converted to TS3 by Anubis360 and now converted (well, almost) to TS2 by yours truly.
It looks like this right now:

These happen to be 3 of my favorite hairstyles, especially the one with the hat! I am so happy to see you are converting them for TS2. They look amazing.
Great job.

And God, that mapping is just terrible. I feel bad for you just looking at it.

Hope you don't mind me sticking my nose in with some feedback. Any chance of fivehead reduction on the hair from Medieval? It's sitting kind of high at the moment. The band needs to be lower down towards the brow and the top of the head needs to come down.

As you can see in the original there is a lot less distance between the band and the top of the head and the brow. I don't mesh so I have no idea whether this is fixable. It's looks fairly good now but I think it would look better with less fivehead. Doesn't have to match the original from Medieval exactly but less fivehead would be great.

About the mapping, it looks very much like a TS2 hair...perhaps you can just fiddle with the original textures so they look somewhat like Pooklet's? As per Aquilegia's instructions here: http://aquilegia.dreamwidth.org/20320.html?thread=147808#cmt147808
And you could use Nouk's waves in the little curls at the tips, such as Azaya has done in her latest retextures.

I don't think Nouk's waves would work, though, because this hair doesn't consist of 2D strands like TS2 hairs, but is more 3D. I hope that makes sense.. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I actually felt there was a little too much fivehead going on there, myself, after looking at the pic of the front side. It'll be a little difficult to fix, because the hair now starts exactly where the face ends. Sims 2 hairs always seem to cause more fivehead than Sims 3 and Medieval hairs, but this probably is a tad too much. I'll fiddle with it some more tomorrow :)
