Can't say that I'm the world's best at retexturing but send me the file and I'll take a stab at it. It does look like the bottom needs to be darker because highlights would not fall naturally in that spot on the hair.

Oh my God, I love this hair, I love it, I think the retexture is fine! Honestly, I don't see any real problem with it except that it's not in my game right now :D

This looks great! It never even caught my eye as far as sims 3 goes, but the conversion looks amazing, in my opinion. The ends maybe should be a little darker, but I would definitely download this just as is. It's great.
