I haven't been able to review because there was a moratorium until (I hope, or I'm in trouble) a couple of days ago; and when you pick a fight with Marvel, you court death.
Now that the Tesseract has awoken, I'll review it.
This is a really good movie; if you liked the lead-ups, you'll (probably) like this. I think I like Iron Man better,

I've just seen it again.
There were more people in costume at the Canberra preview than the Sydney one; at least a dozen here, six there. There was a great Iron Man, a very clever Steve Rogers with the door of the taxi (a specific scene in the Cap movie) and others. Batman came with Black Widow, and one confused person I can only figure was dressed as John Steed.
They put the houselights up as soon as the credits started rolling, ruining a great mid-credits scene. Boo! Hiss!
Still no post-credits thing; the latest rumour is, it's US IMax only.
Still didn't hear the Thor theme, and I've been listening to the score all week (and I'm told Shoot To Thrill was in Iron Man 2 - I really could've checked, the DVD is about a metre behind me right now - but, thanks, Conor ( ... )

I call Avengers a good movie with a few great moments. I will give it this; it's never easy to film something where there are so many characters that fans are wanting to me the main star of each scene.
Far from the best movie I have ever seen, but also far from the worst.

I think they balanced the characters well. Even the Hulk shone.
