You wouldn't expect Phedre not to look him up after her conversation with Courfeyrac, would you?

So here she is, rapping at the door, she has a basket of goodies on her arm, and a brave smile.

She promised herself she wouldn't look worried, and that she wouldn't mother him - mostly because she realizes he hates that. She's just here to bring some sunshine in his room.

She's not going to go anywhere, though.

"I would not lie to one so dear to me as you, Sagramore."

Still smiling, and warm, and sweet.

"It cannot be any other way." She sets the basket on the night stand. "I have a surprise, for you."

She opens the basket, revealing a beautiful, sweet-smelling apple pie. "Does it qualify?"

"Jesu Christ," delightedly.

"Oh, I'm so glad you are pleased!" She grins, and then says... "Shall I serve it, or will you save it for later?"

"Well then, that settles it." She smiles. "Though perhaps I should make you a full meal?"

"No, no. This looks fine enough on its own."

"If it please you, love." She cuts him a piece, and a very small one for herself.

Proper utensils not being that mainstream in his time period, he pokes it with a finger and then carefully and yet still messily snares a piece.

She laughs a little, and takes a small piece too. She's watching him eat with expectant eyes - she doesn't cook all that much, so every new dish is a source of anguish.

Well, good news, Phedre--he's very appreciative. It's partly because he's starving, but it's also damn good pie.

She's going to eat without talking, but there are going to be little sounds of pleasure on her side - she is enjoying both the pie... and the fact that Sagramore is eating.
