*hugs* and hope the pills help. I have been completely unable to get warm this winter -- not sure if it's metabolism or having lost weight or what. It's miserable!

*hugs back* Me too! Man, it really sucks to be cold and when it feels almost as if it comes from inside rather than being because of the environment. Brrrr! An extra jumper doesn't help then! (And the frozen toes! Ouch!) *sends you a virtual magic blanket to keep you warm* :D

Have you seen an endocrinologist? I know I had problems being diagnosed as hypothyroid, and then even after I was, I had problems convincing my doctor that I needed a higher dosage until I finally saw an endocrinologist.

I think the worst symptom, meaning the one that I hated the most, that I've dealt with is the hair loss, because that hits right at my self-esteem. Plus, it's embarrassing to go for a hair cut, and watch the stylist run her fingers through my hair and get squicked at the amount that stuck to them.

I still get cold, but it's more like "personal winter" rather than "personal Antarctica" now!

That's just it. Since my test results are within the ever lowered "natural range" there's no chance for me to see a specialist. And after reading about all your woes and your fights with your doc over dosage, I much prefer to be allowed to control that aspect myself. :D (The thing with this naturally-produced thing is that I am not dependent on it for the rest of my life. I can stop using it without any side-effects, and there's also none of those scary side-effects your doc was worried about recently ( ... )

Hope those work. I'm in the same boat as you where my thyroid is concerned.
I know what you mean about standing still. There's so much I want to do like learn a new language, learn how to use a pc, even just to figure out how to set it up so I have Icons. Laughing is passing me by and there just doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it. I can barely help take care of my mom, she had a big stroke 3 years ago and 6 small ones since, work full time, keep my house clean, as well as take care of my own family.
I'm constantly on the move, rarely have sit down time, so I don't understand why I'm always cold and keep gaining weight. *URGH*
*URM* Okay. Thanks for letting me vent.
Anyway. I hope this gets you on the path to good health.

Thyroid problems are really no fun! It affects so much.

Yeah, life is rolling on too fast! We need to find a way to make it move slower, you know, so we have time to catch up! Sounds like you have entirely too much on your plate.

Venting is good for the soul! :)
