Inspired by Dan's parody last week of "Music of the Night" from Phantom, here is the parody I made up on my five-minute walk to work:

"Slowly, gently"--I used a thesaurus.
In my lab, the monkeys sing in chorus
as they mash on typewriters,
making up the lyrics that I write.
This is how I compose the music of the night.
