Impatience and expectations

Dammit. I didn't bring my new set of contacts with me today. As much as I hated them yesterday (I tossed the old pair out and intended to try the new pair today) I just really wanted to use the new pair to see how I would fare. Dangit ( Read more... )

I hardly ever have other people organise outings with me. *shrug* It can bother me with certain people, but in the end I guess you have to decide whether it's worth the effort for the company or not.

Me? Spend $40 on something I'm not interested in, or work 11 hours at double pay. I know which one I'd prefer. :P

Going back in your shell is bad, mkay. Been there and done that too many times.

All I can suggest is choosing who you put the time into carefully. By putting effort into organising brunches for a couple of months, other people started taking up the mantle without any pushing from me.

The two caveats are that it has to be an activity most to all enjoy, and that you have people that aren't entirely apathetic to organising social events in your group.

One question though, when you were getting offers, did you refuse many of them? I know a couple of people that got on the outer simply because they had a period where they refused everything offered.
