a hint from gmail?

every message in my gmail in-box has the word "no" in front of it (i believe where the opportunity to mark an e-mail with a star would go).

i guess i don't want any e-mail today?

Could be because of the SOPA stuff going on -- maybe they're telling you that if SOPA passes, then you might not be able to get email. The main Google page has the label with a big black square over it.

It's displaying the first part of the alt text for the image "Not starred" instead of the image. If you reload it will probably go away.

(Less interesting than the SOPA theory.)
