i remember that being one of the very few christie books i couldn't finish. just didn't seem rewarding enough.

I'm slowly reading all the Agatha Christie books. I guess I read that (it's checked off my list), but I don't remember it.

So far "Endless Night" is the only one I've given up on. I just couldn't get into it.

that's another one towards the end of her writing career, iirc. which speaks to her having run out of momentum before her readers caught on.

I liked Endless Night, and thought it was good at moody/atmospheric, but different from her main investigator books (Marple, Poirot, T&T). It's definitely not going to be to everyone's liking.

The first couple of T&T books were pretty good, but I read a later one (not sure if it was postern of fate) that was meh.
