It was finally that time. That time being the Summer. And summer for Segreto students was only three weeks long, so Ellie had learned to cherish every last second. Especially this time around. One week she had to spend at cheer camp, which she loved, but it was an entire week. Another one of her weeks was being spent in England, with Isaac, for which Ellie was entirely excited and nervous for all at the same time. For the one week she had to herself, Ellie was going to live ut up, New York style. Shopping daily, New York cuisine, parties, and of course the Sex and the City 2 premiere set this week. Not only did she need a dress for that, but she needed an entire suitcase worth of clothing for England. Dolling herself up in a little sundress and her newest pair of Dolce sunglasses, Ellie hit the town bright and early. She spent a good two hours in Barneys, another two in Macy's, and with bags in her one hand, Ellie was making her way to Tiffany's ( ... )

Jesse could almost cringe at the questions flying out of Maggie's mouth, and whilst he wasn't directly looking at her, he could see Ellie watching him out of the corner of his eye. Waiting for some kind of reaction, he was guessing, so he just kept himself stoic and void of expression, watching the hustle and bustle coming in and out of the stores across the street. He was listening, though. Enough to hear that she was going to England with Isaac. Seemed like they were getting pretty serious. Wow. He felt sorry for her. And then she threw in the low blow about Dakota. Like it was her fault she wasn't around. He glanced back at her, and their eyes locked for a second. He felt... something from her. He wasn't really sure. And before he could say anything ( ... )

Ellie laughed at the girl's interrogation. Jesse was quick to comment on it, and just as Ellie felt she was about to go back on her merry way, Jesse did something completely unexpected. Well, maybe not completely unexpected because he was always a different person when Maggie was around - whether it be an act or not. When Jesse invited Ellie to join them, Maggie looked up at her with pleading eyes and her growing-in-teeth adorable smile. She really ought to be off, she had a lot of stores to visit... "Yeah, I'm starving. Thank you." She gave in (to Maggie and Maggie alone), as she ran her hand down Maggie's hair and guided her back over to her brother. As the walked to the park, Maggie stood in between the two, her head constantly switching from side to side to ask the teens questions. Things like, 'What's in your Victoria's Secret bag?', or 'Jesse, why don't I ever get to shop there." "Ellie, tell me about your boyfriend." Things like that ( ... )

Jesse let Maggie's hand pull him down once they'd found a fairly clear part of the park to sit. She took the box, placing it between them all, and without a beat, bent over and began handing a slice of pizza to them both, before getting one for herself, plopping down cross-legged beside him. She began picking at the topping, and it grew quiet once everybody was eating. But it wasn't long before Maggie announced that she'd had enough, taking what was left of her pizza slice down to the ducks in the pond. He didn't exactly think they'd take to the meat well, but he bet she'd figure it out eventually. The other, more dominant silence was broken then, and figuring that there weren't many people around besides a couple of other kids and their mothers or parents, he could probably take his eyes off of her for a moment. Glancing at Ellie, and then back down as he dropped his slice of pizza onto the lid of the pizza box, brushing his hands together. He'd actually kind of thought, or hoped, she hadn't really noticed what it was Maggie had said ( ... )
