David was building up a nice castle in the sand for his sister Amber. He was making high towers and it even had a bridge and a pond. In fact, he was pretty proud of his job, as he leaned back to admire his finished masterpiece. He smiled and reached out to place a palm leaf as a flag on top of it all when a big dog came his way out of nowhere and stomped on the sandcastle, scaring David in the process.

"Sixx!" he heard a vice calling, and the beast turned its head and strolled away.

A shadow hovered over him, and he had to look up. "I'm sorry," the stranger said - he was a kid a hair older than him, green eyes staring sorrowfully. "My friend's dog has yet to be trained."

"It's okay," David assured the kid, even if it wasn't.

"Maybe I can help you make another?" the kid asked, and David didn't see a single reason not to, so he nodded.

"I'm David Archuleta," he introduced himself.

"Oh, cool! I'm David too, David Cook."

The other David flopped down beside him, and David could feel the heat radiating off him as they both began building a new sandcastle from the crumbled ruins of the first one.
