that movie meme that was going around a while ago

Mar 16, 2008 15:59

in a fit of boredom, I decided to participate in the movie meme thingy.

1. Pick 20 of your favourite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Fill in the film title once it's guessed.
5. NO GOOGLING / using IMDb search functions.

edit Monday 8:00 PM: 7 left!

movie quotes abound! )

memey goodness

#2 is American History X.

#9 is on the tip of my brain. The set up is something about "sex in a very uncomfortable position", and I want to say it's a Kevin Smith movie.

I'm sure I've heard #20. But can't place it either. It's a cartoon or kids' movie, yeah?

You're correct on all counts. I'm going to let you figure them out if you can. :)

Damnit. It's either Clerks or Mallrats. I'm inclined to say Mallrats because I think I watched it more recently. Mallrats?

DING DING DING!

Clerks is a good movie, but Mallrats has more repeat watchability, at least for me. I have to be in the mood for Clerks.

Do you know exactly how unfair it is for you to play this game, Ms. I-Have-Watched-Every-Movie-EVER?

BTW, whoosifer is right. #4 is The Princess Bride.

There's a part of the song "Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin where Robert Plant sings "I don't know, but I been told, a big legged woman ain't got no soul". Most of the time, when I sing along, I replace it with that line.

No, because they're good movies. If I'd picked, like, "Dr. Doolittle 2" or "Norbit", it would have been bad.
