I was still around for the beginning of that, but only just ^_^. I think it was really after Ashura-oh that I totally gave up. To be honest, if we hadn't got the triple dose of X!1999 characters (Daisuke! ALIVE!) followed by Eagle (OMG!yay!) followed by Ashura-oh I would have given up the series waaaay earlier.

What I saw of the vampire storyline only confirmed for me that they were never going to get together - otherwise why have that escape clause instead of making it permanent? I think it was the fan girls who put me off the pairing in general, to be honest. It's perfectly fine to ship something that you know isn't going to happen/is unlikely to happen, people!

Have any more original CLAMP characters turned up? That's the only thing that could possibly tempt me to have a look at recent chapters
