You know what would be funny and a little sad, is Larsa trying to interact with kids his own age ( Read more... )

Someone toss him into some commoner clothing and then set him loose with people his age...

I think first he would be confused and then he'd be all OKAY! I MUST AMUSE THE CHILDREN. K-san or Crysi pointed out that he'd probably get along pretty well with the street rats in Rabenastre who had to grow up in a hurry, but kids of his own age and nominal class? I think he would be upset and confused.

I am going to randomly spam Meg's journal to tell you how much I love your art. I am reasonably assured that Meg will not kill me, given that she goes D: about her in-process fics at me.

*glees* HI! That is okay, I am distracting Meg with smutty SHMxCloud doujin scans, so that should be enough time for us to escape in case of killing. Thanks for the comment ♥ (!)

Your worst ideas make the best fics. Satoshi-neko was PRICELESS, Meg. AS IN WITHOUT PRICE.

Yeah, I imagine that Larsa talking to Vaan and Penelo while they're traveling would involve a lot of Larsa saying things and Vaan and Penelo blinking at him blankly and going, "...did he just...does he actually BELIEVE that?" at each other.

no, they appear to get along okay because Larsa's got a similar or higher, if we are comparing him with Vaan maturity level and they're all orphans or semi-orphans. He's used to dealing with older people.

And you know Garbranth wasn't any help at all because he'd just look blank and say 'well we -- I mean, I -- never cared for children our -- I mean, my age either' and Drace would be all 'I was um sort of training twelve hours a day?'

ahahaha, yeah um...

I think that Gabranth would bring him stuffed animals. You know. Secretly. Sort of stealthily left in with the other stuffed animals in the plushie army that Larsa probably had. But Gabranth's stuffed animals would somehow make their way onto Larsa's bed because they were not overstuffed or dressed in stiff and scratchy clothes, but were soft and cuddly and not too big or heavy and very tolerant of being strangled by little arms.

...crap. Was it ever STATED in the game that Gabranth and Drace were the ones that helped raise him?

sorta? I dunno, it might be in the bestiary. It's popped up in fic from people who are really hardcore about what fanon they use, tho, so it's probably a logical extension, if not canon.

It was a small thing, but when one was subjected to so many watchers, day in and day out, it was doubtless a matter that would have been noticed sooner or later. Larsa had made it a habit to always be seen with some tome or another, sometimes a colorful new novel that was traveling the ranks of the gentry, sometimes an old tome, heavy with dust and in the most archaic of tongues. Small wonder that it had taken even the prying eyes of the servants to glean the choice tidbit that Larsa was in the habit oftentimes of carrying the same leatherbound notebook on his person ( ... )

I think considering what beautifully snotty little beasts most of the Archadian children we meet in the game are, Larsa is very content to have his friendships with Rabanastre street urchins several years older than him. Honestly, he may literally be the one Archadian minor we meet who is not a little bastard.

I can only attribute that to a good upbringing.

But Meg-nee, kitty!Satoshi was the best crack that ever cracked, excluding the crack that was paid for and published for mass consumption.
