I agree that Karin dying so suddenly...doesn't quite make a whole lot of sense. Of course...this would be several years down the road, and it's possible that she gets out of practice? And mother instinct to protect Yuri and...i dunno. It didn't make a whole lot of sense to me, either.

I think Karin knew she had to die to have Yuri's fusion powers awaken. Saki explained to Karin that she had a really heavy destiny, and Yuri's powers awakened because of Karin's death, so even if she *could* kill off all the zombies, she wouldn't, because she knew she had to die for everything to happen. Yuri explained to her that Anne died, so she probably put 2+2 together eventually and had somewhat of an idea. I'm guessing had she lived, Yuri would be sans fusions powers, and wouldn't go and save Alice in 1913 or 14 or whenever it was, and there goes the series! Time travel plots are so complicated. XD
