Poll advise me, o intarwebs!

I really do need the kanji for Mirage, btw. I keep promising myself I'll go look for it but I can never remember her name and Dyslexia Girl does not attempt to pronouce Japanese names because it just ends in tears. Even her publisher would help.

Not an idle bluff! I have the first book of Mirage and so I can indeed give you those kanji: 桑原水菜

I'm not even sure what's going on with her first name because I swear you can't get those nanori from those kanji, but hey, that's what it says on the book. (Also, who calls their child water vegetable?)

Please to note I am NOT ALONE in the make Meg read Bleach and make the fandom a happier place camp. :D (Why did you even put that on there? oO;)

Also, I recommend Goong but it is Manhwa and thus, not at Kino's. D: But! Korean culture + extremely shoujo FTW!

I dunno,I thought I'd find out how many people actually wanted me to read it? D: I do have the first three volumes in English, it just didn't, you know, eat my brains.

Is that the one I've been hearing about where the guy is a prince and there's a girl forced to do his bidding and there's another hot guy who may or may not be going after the prince?

Ummm . . . not quite? ^^; (Wait, what series is THAT?) Though obakesan did talk about it here. Actually, reading that over, it's a tiny bit confusing. To clarify: The hot cousin would've been Crown Prince had not his father died and would've married the girl, but it was NOT to be. But of course he likes her. But she's, uh, MARRIED to his cousin (who's hotter than him, so, there's that). And he has a scheming mother trying to get back the throne. And did I mention the bitchy pretty ballerina ex-girlfriend of the Crown Prince? They're all still in high school. Oh, and there's a super-ghei Eunuch and PRINCE WILLIAM. Um ( ... )

I - I cannot STAND the art it makes me feel like worms are writhing their way out my eyes. T3T Other than that, I'd totally tap that. It was actually one of the first series I was introduced to but at that point I was the sort of baby fangirl who judged almost exclusively on the art so I kind of went eh at it.

Also after a while I was like JESUS YOU TWO JUST ADMIT YOU WANT TO DO EACH OTHER.

I think Basara's like 27 tanks? But it's really, really good. You'd probably adapt pretty fast to the art nowadays, don't you think? (Did you watch the anime? The art's less jarring and that gets you through the first five volumes.)
