*giggles and hugs* Oh, god, I know the feeling. Once, I sent in a story to a writing competition at 3 AM, and it won, and I was very 'omg, yay, it won!' and self-congratulatory, and then I reread the story and it turned out that I had not only changed four commas into periods at various points throughout the story, but I had accidentally copied and pasted the same beginning paragraph into two different chapters in a way that really doesn't make sense at all, and then I was just '............ OKAY SO I NEVER WRITE AT NIGHT OR EVER AGAIN, REALLY x.o;;;;'.

The part that I find particularly funny is that while the editor fixed the more glaring punctuation mistakes, they said that the story had more depth with the repeated sections, and they apparently felt that the messed up grammar added artistry or something.

...

It sort of makes me think that if I ever were to become a professional writer, it might be to my benefit to go on some very heavy hallucinogens.
