So I consider myself fairly computer savvy in the way of someone who's used 'em since they were 12 and spends an unreasonable amount of time with people who make A LOT OF MONEY knowing even more.
For some reason, Calibre CONSTANTLY confuses me. Like, I will inevitably say "FUCK FORMATTING WHO NEEDS IT ANYWAY" and resort to .txt files and like an hour of scrolling through text to input breaks where needed.
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Is there a way to combine "books" to make one book? Calibre looks at my efforts an scoffs in contempt.
My techie friends are worthless, they respond with dumbfounded looks like "Why don't you just write your own code?" and its all I can do not to throw things. (This is a bit of an exaggeration, mostly they just don't know calibre which is fair, I don't know it either and I suspect it's made of spite anyway.)
Also, more on topic, congrats on getting CM7 working! It sounds really nifty and I like that you didn't technically root your nook, very handy for warranty purposes.
I mostly like how it manages putting shit in the library and it's really nice for if you have a bunch of fic many files but I've yet to really understand how to deal with the building epub part.
idk, if it's mostly finished book file it's fine, if it's building it I guess there's other ways and means.
Okay, that's totally fair. I suspect the vast majority of calibre users are like "wtf is all this." and just hit the "load onto device" button, because that and converting files to .mobi are pretty much all I'm capable of doing with it ever.
Sadly, CM7 is not an option for me, but lets be honest, I read the same ten fics over and over again anyway so we're not even going to pretend I need the internet to do that really.
