1. I can't decide if PGSM is actually better than the anime, or if I'm just more used to the pacing and conventions of tokusatsu vs early 1990s anime. On the other hand it takes the tokusatsu version six eps to get the entire team together and eight before we even see a hair of anybody but Usagi in the anime, so

I'm pretty sure it was designed to get lots of laughter, with an occasional "aww, cute!" or "awww, sweet!" or lip-wibbly moment (though those aren't too frequent until further in?)
