Did you have to beat the Elite 4 to get there, or am I living in hope that there's really another way to get to Kanto without going through those guys?

I mean, heck, I have Lugia. All the online guides I look at say Lugia can KO one of the 4's lineup all by himself, so it won't be too bad... But I wanted all 16 Badges before I went through the Big Bad Elite 4! [pouts pointlessly]

In other news I also want all three Gen 1 starters and all three Gen III starters, but that's what trades are for. And... yes! Glad to hear you made it to Kanto. Congratulations. [slinks off to train]

no, you have to go through the Elite Four to get to Kanto but they're TOTAL FUCKING WIMPS. The highest thing brought out is a Level 50 Dragonite, and, while a nuisance, shouldn't be a problem to something that knows an Ice, Dragon or Lightening move. Karen's dudes can be annoying but there's only one pure Dark type in her group.

Compared to Platinum, they're dead easy. Most of them are dual-types so they have pretty exploitable weaknesses.

Actually... I found Platinum's Elite 4 to be pretty easy... I think it had a lot to do with the fact I had Girattina on my team. Something about how a Ghost/Dragon can whop /everything/! And what it can't whop, a Water/Steel can easily mop up.

But yeah, grinding all my critters to level 45 (except Lugia, he came that high) here I come!
