I don't know if I'm hormonal or just need something mindless to read on the bus - I try to read real books sometimes, but when you're on a bus and you're dead tired, Kant is not what you might call accessible -- but I've suddenly gone on a huge Really Bad Paranormal Romance tear, the type where the vampire dude is all U BELONG 2 ME and the innocent ( Read more... )

I somehow downloaded the Twilight books in pdf form awhile back (I skipped a large section of the end of the 2nd because it was that awful and gave up for good somewhere in the middle of the 3rd) and while I don't remember where I got them I could probably put them into a zip file for you? The thing about the ebook version though is that there are a BUNCH of typos, which can be annoying. Or, you know, more annoying than the books already are.

no, I think you are right about the title, I don't have the book on me. It's the one where the White Healer Mage Chick is Forced into Marriage with The Dark and Brooding Lord of etc etc etc and it's all very gothic and yearning.

I couldn't even remember what kind of chick the heroine is. Oh well.

I vaguely recall the author saying she wanted to write a Gothic-type story and came up with that book. XD

well so far I haven't really wanted to punch the dude in the face yet, which after her Dark series is kind of refreshing.;

Loretta Chase might be the author you're thinking of.

**grins** I fully look forward to much future Twilight mockage. That series makes me twitch, and one of my coworkers has this HUMONGOUS CLOSEUP SHOT as her screensaver-of-choice-- honest to gods, I want so badly to draw moustaches on her screen some days, Edward and Bella'd look way better with great big curly ones.

...someone tried to give me a free book, and I only took it because the back cover called it a cross between Dumas and Georgette Heyer.
