Funny, isn't it, that the person who has helped you more than anyone to sort out the chaos in your life and help fulfil your dreams, is the person who you have hurt the most. You have done, by your own admission, many dreadful things in your life, but what you have done to this person is the worst thing you could do. You took everything she had to offer but never, in 6 years, gave her the recognition of a 'relationship'. Perhaps that why it never worked out. There was only give from her and take from you. How can you tell someone, "I love you but......" with tears in your eyes on the two occasions you leave her bereft - but never at any other time when it would have made a difference? What kind of person are you to have so little care for the feelings of another person that you treated her so badly? How come you only shed tears of self pity when you are ashamed and you know you have wronged her? You have just lost the best friend you ever had. You have just lost the only woman who will probably ever truly love you for WHO you are and
