The panasonics and philips have been some of the best rated flat-screens out there, but I'm not sure if they make anything in the size you're looking for.

That's something I've been increasingly irritated by, actually: the assumption by both manufacturers and the relevant media that everyone wants 50" screens. A lot of houses (such as mine!) simply don't have room for a TV that size. I reckon that the biggest that'd fit in the living room without huge reorganisation would be about 24", and the current one is something like 20". That's the right size for me: I don't want something that makes the room feel like a pub! =:P

*chuckles a bit* Although, you could charge admission for pay-per-views and a nice premium for any spare beers laying about if your place is mistaken for a pub. ;)

I do know that Panasonic actually kinda gets a clue with size and does make sub-50" tv's, but I don't know how small they go with them. The main reason why I know about them and Phillips is because my folks were recently in the market for a new tv after giving me their old one when I bought my own house. My father kinda likes to go a bit nutty on reviews when buying something and I unfortunately got to hear about them non-stop for several weeks.

Sony was running in 3rd place, but I have a strong dislike of them. You may be getting a nice tv with them, but you're paying so much of a premium for the name. With what they charge, you could almost get 50% more tv with anyone else for the same price. :P

I just had a look on Panasonic's UK site, and they seem to do LCD tellies from 20" to 32", and plasma screens from 37" up to 65".

Just make sure it supports 1080i, and you'll experience happiness. :D Samsung and Dell are both excellent brands, so you can't go wrong with them. The Dell 2407FPW 24" is a little steep, but the amount of multipurpose use it offers, it's a real big bang for your buck. ;) I own one myself.

And I totally forgot you got a 360! :O I threw an invite at ya!

Sadly 1080i is still pretty rare over her and when you do find one the supports it the prices are astronomically high.

Boom Boom Rocket is kind of fun but I don't know if I'd buy it.
Actually knowing me I probably will eventually :P

As for Guitar Hero 2, I'm still undecided, I've already got it on the PS2.
I think I'm going to wait for GH3.
