[Descole is sitting contently as a large tarantula spider crawls up and down his shoulders. He doesn't know why or where this thing came from, but it's quite a friendly little guy. Or girl. He's not sure. The large spider had been leaving a trail of webs around him, and he hadn't even notices the words it had been making until now when he looked

[In Hendel's case, it's a gigantic snake. A King cobra, to be precise.]

[Dominus moves around the spider in something almost like a dance, and Hendel smirks a little.]

Mine is rather graceful too, if I do say so myself.

[She looks thoughtful.]

I wonder if my double has a snake too. I don't suppose it would be a cobra, if he does - he's not really the... venomous type, I think.

[Descole gives a smirk, which is almost admiring to her.]

And you are? How very...attractive, in an opposing way. I like that.

Mine is rather quiet. Lots of secrets hidden in there I suppose. That's very fitting, I'd say.

[Hendel chuckles.]

Also attractive, I suppose. Well. I suppose the real attraction in someone secretive is... breaking those secrets out, hmm?

[Descole raises an eyebrow with a smile. He knows this woman is up to know good, but he can't help but like her. Well, people are attracted to others like themselves.]

Heh, I suppose that's very true. Isn't that right Charlotte?

[The spider climbs up on the Cobra, to get back on the couch and climb on Descole's leg.]

[Dominus follows it up onto the couch, though he keeps a portion of his tail coiled around Hendel's arm and doesn't get close enough to risk touching Descole. Looking thoughtful again, Hendel follows, crossing one leg over the other once she's sat down and smoothing out the creases in her skirt.]

So... you get on well with my double, I presume?

[Descole shrugs and watches his spider, almost mental converse with her cobra again. The sight was puzzling to him, but he decided not to bring it up and answer her question. He crossed his legs as well, resting his ankle on his knee and sighs lightly with a half-smile.]

Well enough. Basically, I only want a seat in power because I don't know how much I can trust him. So I sucked up, and got myself a position. You are talking about that one, I presume?

He's a interesting man. He's been well to my double, so I hope he stays that way. Why do you ask?

[Hendel knows Monocle, considering that she knows herself, so she's pretty sure she knows what that actually means.]

I was just... curious, though. He seems the most... familiar of my doubles, if that makes sense.

Quite. Only a couple of nice words, some favors, and there I am. Hershel is easier to manipulate than one might think.

[Still trying to be surreptitious about his sex life, he decided to go on about something slightly different.]

It certainly makes sense. I'd say your Cobra shows that well.

[Hendel hums softly, leaning back against the arm of the sofa.]

I wouldn't be so swift to jump to that conclusion, is all I'm saying.

[He raises an eyebrow his smile fading.]

Either that, or Hershel actually likes me, which I find rather...unlikely.

[Before he can say anything else, his insect follower spins "Shh..." On the couch, for the both of them to see. Descole looks at it, still puzzled.

Or he planned to give you a position anyway, and just took advantage of the fact that you didn't know that in order to get flattery and sexual favors out of you.

It's what I would have done, in his position.

[She eyes the spider, contemplating.]

Yes I suppose I would have done that same thing as well. Either way, the sex was more for myself than him, the flattery I use whenever I was sex. It works well usually, though, I suppose I shouldn't be having such conversations with a lady, should I?

[He sticks out his hand to the spider and sighs.]

What do you want me to keep quiet about, hmm? I know you all can speak, Charlotte. Wont you say something?

[The spider does nothing and nuzzles into his hand.]

Well... those sorts of things are hardly gentlemanly, either, so it's hardly any different whether it's myself or my double, no?

[She settles a few of the snake's coils on her lap, watching Descole and his own dæmon.]

Yes, but its one thing talking about those things with a gentleman of particular interests, its another talking about them with a lady. So, I do apologize, if it does offend you.

Though I can never understand why it bothers people so much. Sex is a natural instinct if the human body. If it wasn't supposed to be pleasurable, why would it be so much.

[Here, he pets the spider lightly. He had surely grown to like the little thing.]
