I'm not sure they are. I think you can have only 1000 images on Flickr.

the photobucket debacle was a flustercluck... I've managed to make it about halfway thru my personal journal so far, reuploading/embedding all the images

I struggled for awhile to find somewhere photobucket-ish that I could move to, free, but private... I finally found Cloudinary, I'm happy with it (so far)

Cloudinary, has some limitations for those with lots of icons or images they are sharing but will work well if you just want to store things.

There is also imgBB. It's easy to use and it's free. You can't load an image larger than 16 MB but I have over 2K images in 11 albums there and haven't experienced a problem yet. You can make your albums private or public, too.

Photobucket is a giant shit fire. I pay for it because I have over 50K photos and gifs there. But it is dying a slow, agonizing death.

Photobucket made a dumb move. I mean they could have tried something else. Imgur isn't limiting accounts.

Thanks for the heads up about ImgBB but just a heads up I don't think there is a limit for upload or size at Imgur. Should you need that.

I'm fixing the broken links on my LJ too. We love you, so don't go anywhere! :) P.S. I highly recommend www.postimages.org as another alternative image hosting service. :)))

Google Photo is cool because Google likes images but they do have image limitations on megapixels and resolution which Imgur doesn't. However, if that isn't an issue for you then Google is awesome. I think I'd use them for icons and storing stuff that doesn't need to be large but when I create header images or layout stuff... I need the bigger capacity. That is why I like imgur. But thank you for the suggestion. I'm collecting them and adding them above for everyone else.
