I know right? Sweet that they're listening to us. I'm doing fine - just getting my old friends page whenever I log in. I'll let you know if I have a problem - you're my go-to girl for that. :)

Hope you're feeling better btw - I didn't get a chance to comment on your long after vacation post but I did skim through it. I also hope you and phoenix had a great time together. I know she was really looking forward to visiting you -- it's nice to meet LJ friends face to face.

No problem. I'm just excited that they are going to let us keep it. Finally they listen and my respect for LJ is growing by leaps and bounds.

I am feeling 99% better. I'm still a little tired and eating is harder than I thought it would be. I did well with Phoenix and we had a blast.

I'm not 100% but I'm getting there and I'll post more about it later.

I'm glad you're nearly 100%. That's a huge step from where you were!

Almost missed this comment.

It is a huge improvement and right now I'm only sensitive to sugar. It is odd. So we went and had frozen yogurt last night which brought on a coughing fit. So odd.

And then my niece gave me a couple Rolos the other day which also brought on coughing.

I've been just trying to avoid the stuff and not get it for myself but a little here and there I'll take. But the coughing. So odd. It makes me feel just like when I was sick... that incessant need to just cough.

But I'm glad for the most part it is over! YAY!

The only problem I've got is I've still got a line at the top of my friends page from where the ages old prompt to switch was. I have no idea how to get rid of the (plus, I'm seeing an ad when I'm posting this comment ... and I'm permanent ... not supposed to see ads) (oh, it turns out they are using ads as captchas... tsk tsk)

Maybe try turning on the new design, switching to the feed, then switching back and going back to the old design.

Edit: And yes, I just realized that I'm suggesting turning it on and back off again.

That fixed it. Evidently, when their previous "switch message" when away, so did the x to dismiss the message, leaving the line.

(I still don't like the fact that the captchas for humans are "enter this line from an ad")

I just went and followed my own advice, in case the gap I'm seeing in this new layout I'm writing was caused by the invisible switch message, and now I'm stuck with the new feed. Which is kind of mixed for me in that I mostly like the new feed, but only the version that shows up with the new site design. And I vastly prefer the old site design, so I'm kind of stuck with the worst possible mix.

As for the change in captchas, up until a few weeks ago it was pretty common to see two or three requests a day about the captchas not working properly. So yay if they switched away from ReCaptcha, boo if it's an ad network in disguise.
