Seriously, why the hell did they do that? Is the director a complete hack, were they trying to be ironic, what? I DON'T GET IT ATHENA!

Someone in my LJ said it might symbolic because the smear looked like angel wings.

I think they were being silly. Like "Eye of the Tiger". Not that it matters. DEAN WILL NEVER LIVE THIS DOWN.

I was surprised that Dean finally talked about what happened in hell. Coming back from that . . . that explains why he seems more vulnerable.
I have a soft spot for Sam . . . hee hee, he brings out the whole need to put him to bed, feed him chicken soup until he feels better. I'd rather be out and about with Dean . . . he seems like the type to be fun to just hang out with.

Hee, your icon is awesome!

I was kind of expecting Dean to talk about it in this episode, since Sam had finally talked about his four months without Dean. And he's been a lot more willing to share since the Deal. (I don't know why people think Sam is the emo one of the pair. Dean has *got* to be just as emo as Sam.)

I think they deal with their emotions differently. Sam's more likely to wear his heart on his sleeve, where Dean is more likely to make a sarcastic comment as a defense mechanism. lol, I'm trying to psychoanalyze the Winchester brothers.
Seeing Dean cry was probably more of a shock than him talking about hell. I was disappointed when they didn't show a preview. I want to know what happens!
