Seriously! What is all this "filibuster-proof majority" crap?! HE WOULD NOT VOTE WITH US TO END A FILIBUSTER. GOD. He never has before, in the rare cases where Harry Reid actually allowed something like that to go to a vote at all. (I'm just as mad at him, because on basically every vote he let the Republicans filibuster without filibustering. He never made them stand up in the Senate for hours and hours reading passages from War and Peace or whatever. When they threatened to filibuster he just gave in and didn't even bring it to a vote.)

Hee! I love your last paragraph. We should indeed be looking forward and concentrating on working together and not rocking the boat and a bunch of other cliches like that. Not on getting revenge by punishing people with bad grades. Just, you know, next time, you might get a bad grade, so think about that. We're really serious this time! (And that's the other thing. We really are experts at losing, even when we're winning. And now I hear yesterday they spent two hours telling convicted felon no-longer-Senator Ted Stevens how awesome he is, then gave him a 56 second standing ovation (8 seconds per felony conviction, as Rachel Maddow says). Sometimes I really hate my party.
