I am doing a little bit of rereading, but like you, I calculate all the books in the universe and think, "I'll NEVER GET THERE!!!!" but really, get where? I agree that rereading, particularly many years apart, gives you totally new perspectives on the same book. The few times I've done it, I think I've gotten a net greater benefit in the two reads of the same book than by reading two different books. So I should do it more! Rereading one of my favorite books on geometry, before and after taking 2 geometry classes, wow.

I have a book you can read. Where should I send it?

"(like you order an eight-tier cake, but only the top tier is edible, the rest of it is frosted styrofoam. Why, people? Why?). So, I don't really want to waste my money on that."

I laughed out loud at that, I don't understand that at all either.

I like to reread books but it has to be years apart else my memory floods back and I remember every sentence with annoying clarity that I can't continue the rereading. But Tolkien and Raymond E. Feist books are so near and dear to my heart I reread those every couple of years and I do always feel like I notice something new in them.

And congratulations on your Arbor Day trip! Sounds like a lot of fun! :)

And it's ok to be a bridezilla, you only get to do it once after all.
