I passed my MTEL exams. BOTH of them. I have a 93 on my General Curriculum exam, and an 85 on Foundations of Reading. Qualifying score is a 70 for each.
This means I am well on my way to becoming an elementary educator.
This means a whole new world of possibilities just opened up.
Okay, now. Back to my grading.

how does one get to be a teacher, anyway? *clueless*

um, I am trying to figure that out. The Massachusetts education website isn't exacty crystal clear.

(2) Requirements for Teacher Licensure.
1. Possession of a bachelor's degree.
2. Passing score on the Communication and Literacy Skills test.
3. Passing score on the subject matter knowledge test(s) appropriate to the license sought, based on the subject matter knowledge requirements set forth in 603 CMR 7.06, where available.
