Kismet flash fiction of a morally dubious nature

Jun 18, 2006 22:59

This started off as an attempt to write Kismet porn. It ended up, though, as just some rather gentle character pieces that happen, for the most part, to include sex. They all take place in the hypothetical, not necessarily mutually exclusive future (i.e. after Hunter's Moon) and should not be considered canonical at all ( Read more... )

That last one made me grin. How I'd love to be able to pull a trick like that.

I liked the others, too. I am totally unsuprised Fleetwood likes it rough, and breaks up angry. In the Linton/Colette, the awkwardness as a breakthrough is perfect.

Thank you so much! :)

You know, the funny thing is that the impression one gets of Fleetwood from the Signy POV and the Fleetwood POV is totally different ... but not, I think, entirely out of character. He just presents himself differently to her.

Healing had a nice feel to it all; the clumsiness that is so often associated with lovemaking was well-appreciated.

Thank you!

I've always been a trifle bugged by sex scenes where everything goes perfectly and everyone gets fantastic results on the first try. Sex in real life is clumsy and goofy, and frankly that's part of its charm.

I love it that, as the creator of these characters, you are willing to create fiction about such disparate pairings. I enjoyed the shower story as well. Can't say I understand the sprayed on clothes, I've just sort of accepted them, so it was fun to see a piece where you toy with it.
Tip of the pen to you!

Thanks! Yeah ... the spray-on clothes, like faster-than-light travel and artificial gravity, you just gotta roll with it. I actually think it *is* a plausible idea, but not necessarily as I've depicted it.

Thise were really beautiful and sweet! :D Some truly brilliant characterisations! I love how you captured the other aspects of sex, instead of going for titillation -- it's a nice change of pace :)

Fantastic praise -- thank you very much! ^_^ I don't think I *could* write a traditional, romance-novel sex scene if I tried. I mean, I *did* try, and look what I ended up with. ;)

Hey, those were sweet, Layla. 'Tomorrow' was especially touching; Fleetwood shows a surprising amount of self-awareness in that one.

And 'Partners in Crime'...hee hee hee. I like the fact that Linton has a bit of a practical joker in him. (It's always the quiet ones you have to watch out for.) Jude is gonna roast 'em alive when he finds out who's responsible.

Maybe I should do a follow-up. Hm, I could see this getting out of hand REALLY quick. :D

... and thanks for the feedback!
