So, this afternoon, off and on, I’ve been hearing what sounds to me like a dog howling, somewhere in the neighborhood. But I can’t get a good fix on it, because I only ever heard it from inside the house, while I was doing something else. By the time I stopped to listen and open a window to see if I could hear it better, it had already stopped.

Okay, the quarter mile from house part is a little nervous-making, but WOW so cooool *_* Don't think I've ever heard wild wolves...coyotes a few times maybe, but...!

I've lived in Alaska most of my life, and I've never heard wolves, either -- at least, not anything that I realized was wolves at the time. It is definitely one of those things I'm going to remember!

Of course, now we have to run a gauntlet of WOLVES if we go out in the yard at night.
