In our meeting this morning everyone was talking about their Thanksgiving to do list. I realized that I don't have one of those. Never have had one. I just always know whats going to happen and what I need to do/buy to get it done.

I'll buy a 20-25 lb turkey Monday and put it in the fridge in the garage to thaw. I'll make  2 12 in. iron skillets of ( Read more... )

Whoa, that sounds ultra-fancylike.

My little sister hates turkey for some reason, and I've gone all vegetarian, so I don't have a clue what my horrible-cook dad will attempt. Cross your fingers for something edible.

If nothing else, we'll just eat out of cans of sweet potatoes like last year.

It isn't though. We aren't eating in the bill-e-ard room, overlooking the C-ment pond this year. Our only real nod at civilization is the use of napkins. Paper ones at that. Unless a sleeve is handier.

I know and I love that. I love reading about what you cook, and what you eat. I questioned your decision to not add hemp to your pumpkin oatmeal cookies though. It would have been wasted on your students most likely, so it was a good call.

You have no idea how happy it makes me to know that you are aware that sweet potatoes do come in cans! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Rachel.

Wow. That sounds like quite a feast! I hope you have a wonderful holiday. You definitely deserve it! And try not to work too hard. Looks like you're working on that. :)

Hey, it's all about delegation ;) Thank you. I wish the same for you. Just think, this time next year the Llama Mama will have her very own little Baby Butterball! Much to be thankful for, that :)
