party - yay or nay?

okay, so i know i want to have a party. the problem is, all the good times/dates are taken. i'm thinking sunday afternoon — 12/10 or 12/17 — to make more informal and so folks can oggle the yard during daylight hours, but the question is, will anyone be able to come? i'm leaning toward the 17th since the party i have the night before the 10th is

I'm booked on 12/17 from 5 pm on and potentially have to work in the afternoon so i vote for 12/10. But it's all good either way.
